Latest on the Ruislip RFC HS2 foam - HS2 says tunnelling paused for 2 hours on Saturday. Foam was slurry. It says the site is safe but being monitored with extra anchors to stop subsidence. Locals are far from convinced & very concerned.

So the eruption from the HS2 tunnel at Ruislip Rugby club is still bubbling at least 48hours since it was first reported on Saturday 18th Feb. Need the ⁦@EnvAgency⁩ to tell us what it is and how much has been lost into aquifer. This raises questions about all HS2 tunnels.

Thanks @holmes_bryn and @mylocalnews_uk for raising awareness of noisy night time work being conducted by HS2. We are currently in liaison with HS2's community team to discuss how and when noisy work is taking place and what they might be able to do to mitigate against it.

Party politics aside, the new play area and other improvements to the recreation ground should be viewed as a welcome addition to the area. It's about time that Maple Cross' residents started to benefit from the money that they pay in to the system.
