Delighted to read that @Miss_Snuffy will be allowed to run her school as she wishes and in the manner that has made it one of the most sought after in the country. Rules are there for a reason, some to instil discipline & others cohesion. Personal faiths can be expressed at home.
@QcWynter @Miss_Snuffy Personal faiths can be expressed at the school too. There isn’t a ban on having faith. It’s just a school rule that practising the faith isn’t disruptive to the running of the school or other students. Don’t like that? Find another school.
@QcWynter @Miss_Snuffy The school rules are very clear. Don’t like the rules? Go to another school.
@QcWynter @Miss_Snuffy She's a force of nature. In school I was taught civics - seen nowadays as a prehistoric oddity - and the ethos which Michaela espouses suggests to me that the whole school day there is a form of "living civics class". My admiration for the lady, and the school, knows no bounds.
@QcWynter @Miss_Snuffy I heard the head talking on Radio 4. It was interesting how the praying quickly became divisive and those who were praying began to pick on other children who were not fasting during Ramadan. As soon as it was stopped these divisions disappeared.
