@LedyardNFLDraft Nah. Nonsense. He was a monster even early on including the "more sacks than T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett" game, and then Elliot got injured, and Ramsey got moved from Green Bay Charles Woodson to late-career Ryan Clark. He made as much sense last year. The difference is depth.
@frankmikesmith And yet his "lead back" was playing barely half the snaps by Warren's second year. Warren got most of the rest. Maybe watching injuries to his lead back tank quality offenses from 2014-18 taught him to split the load? Here's hoping Warren isn't playing 97% of the snaps all year.
@JordanUhl How many people know who he is but have not seen the "Testify" music video about not being able to tell the difference between Bush and Gore? Nobody should be surprised by this take.
@NFLFrascella You absolutely wanted to say something. Dedicated Minecraft players say that's not a lot of Minecraft for 12 years. My 10-year-old kid did as much, though not as fastidiously, in a week. Unless he's got a bunch of these, he's not playing a lot.
@HanginWithDeez@ByJoshCarney I mean, I guess we'll find out. He was not the top FA corner by contract value. Three guys got more money. He also turns 30 in two weeks. So even if we accept that he was the best player when he signed, he's also quite a risk. Not a lot of guys stay good after 30.
@ByJoshCarney Samuel was on the roster last season. They signed one, lost one, drafted one, and now traded one. So they swapped Dean for Porter and Everette for Pierre. If that's good enough, why not move Porter for value in the 2026 draft instead of the 2028 draft?
@ByJoshCarney Cool, but Graham was hired in January. If they were concerned Pee2y was going to be Nnamdi Asomugha with the Eagles, they had all of free agency and the draft to figure something else out. It's not lost in the conversation. It's a conversation for 9 months ago.
@ASaunders_PGH Even if the criticism is merited, it's a goofy take. Don't know how you arrive at a number that isn't even the highest APY for CBs on the team. Maybe that's how contracts work in Madden; maybe your 85s get 70 percent of your 96s. But that's never been how it works in the NFL.
@ArtemisConsort Nah. Have you ever seen a Chihuahua? Is it an evolution from a wolf? You can breed for some traits, not pick from a menu. And despite 20,000-40,000 years of selective breeding, no dog breed is much, if any, smarter than wolves, in case you thought you could breed for intellect.
@KevinAdams26 Absolutely goofy to find preseason comments "damning." My hopes are high, but it's just hopes until January. The roster is the best since probably 2010. If you're talking about the coaching also being a significant upgrade, then I guess you'd better be predicting at least AFCCG.
@Antweegonus As just a regular schmo, what am I being asked to "affirm," and how is being asked to "affirm" something different from being polite to a customer whose account of events I disagree with?
@JeninYounesEsq The conundrum is this: Is there a scenario in which you accept the lab leak but deny the idea that the virus was engineered or enhanced with purpose? And if not, then how can you admit the lab leak? Does "lab leak" = human engineering in your mind?
@JeninYounesEsq I mean, I have no real concerns for defending Fauci, but every doctor I know says: 1. evidence on these things is never conclusive, but: 2. all the evidence leans to natural origins, so while: 3. lab leak is possible, 4. engineering doesn't fit. (1/2)
@HomerPavlos And Circe is what, exactly? A vindictive sorceress who punishes rivals and those who reject her advances? Zero chance she was trying to trick Odysseus, who was leaving her after she bore him two sons? You can't find the words, because you are not a reader, let alone a writer.
@acuriocabinet Less flippantly than what? Having Black people in the cast? An Academy-Award-Winning director casting Academy-Award-Winning actors is flippant? Or what? What is flippant about spending $250 million and casting venerated actors in every role?
@EuroDale If you put 11 World Cup players on an eggball field and snapped the ball to the goalie, the other 10 of them could not block four NFL pass rushers for three seconds. Two triple teams and two double teams, and they couldn't possibly stop four guys. Could not play THREE SECONDS.
@MaxPuster2@TheGasStovee Either it's a timeless story that applies to all mankind 3,000 years later, or it's just a story about some Mediterranean people that only Mediterranean people can learn from. And if it's the former, it's appropriate that the cast should represent the intended audience.
