i will die on this hill: it’s fine and normal to dislike children
@toomanyspectra I will d!e on this hill: children are the most vulnerable group in the world. Hating a vulnerable group is discriminatory, reducing them to a monolith without individual personalities. Keep away from kids if you don't like them, but don't try to normalize disliking them.
@BrooksieCFonta1 @toomanyspectra My question is: How "vulnerable" are the kids who are assaulting their teachers in the classroom? Or hurting and killing helpless animals (Plenty of news on both these real scenarios) I'm not a parent, I never want to be, and no, I'm not fond of children.
@Queen7Pryor @toomanyspectra Adults assault WAY more children than children assault adults. About 7.5 million annual reports of child abuse in America alone. Five children d!e of it every day, almost half under a year old. You want to behave like children are some kind of oppressor class? Disgusting.
@Queen7Pryor @BrooksieCFonta1 @toomanyspectra Who are the adults influencing and raising them? Those kids didn’t just wake up and decide to do those things.
@Queen7Pryor @BrooksieCFonta1 @toomanyspectra You can swap out “disliking kids is normal” with “misanthropy among a certain very online segment of society is becoming normalized” and it’s equally true
@Queen7Pryor @BrooksieCFonta1 @toomanyspectra Very vulnerable actually. A harmful child is usually indicative of less than savoury home circumstances whether that’s financial or parental or other environmental factors!
@Queen7Pryor @BrooksieCFonta1 @toomanyspectra Extremely vulnerable. They’re not small adults. A child doing those things is a vulnerable child who has been hurt themselves. Like, the children you just described are the most vulnerable & it’s wild you don’t see that.
@Queen7Pryor @BrooksieCFonta1 @toomanyspectra I’m a parent and a para educator, who has dealt with some very tough kids, and we don’t think like this, nor define children by the absolute, most horrendous things a tiny percentage have done (usually the fault of their ADULT caregivers)
@Queen7Pryor @BrooksieCFonta1 @toomanyspectra Very vulnerable! They are a product of their environmentS… Local, state & federal
