Many of my kids college courses have strict attendance policies. If a certain number of classes are missed, they fail. That wasn't my experienced in college. Taking attendance on adults to me seems juvenile. If they dont show up and dont pass or do pass, so be it.

@_wej01 I don't contact college professors but instead help guide my child on how to advocate and manage their environment. But, in my experience, the quality of education hasn't been worth the cost of tuition. So I can how some paying parents may be tempted to speak up.

@LuisMoncada77 @RjMitte @BreakingBad You were a wonderful friend Luis. This hits close to home. I have a son a few years younger who battles depression and feels very alone too. He has many friends who knows he is struggling but rarely reach out. It breaks my heart. When did we get too busy to be there others?

@GrowingUpRetro What happened is technology has made it so everyone now communicates with a screen. People have lost social skills and the ability to interacting with others in person. Community as it used to be is extinct.

Being a single mom of an adult child with mental illness is the hardest & loneliness experience. Friends say they want to help but only point you towards therapists and support groups. The "it takes a village to raise a child" phrase is a now a myth. Anyone else feel this way?

@Mr_Husky1 So much went virtual, school, work, even church, and never really bounced back. For many socialization now is done in isolation and people are way meaner online than in person. People walk by each other on the street and don't even make eye contact. So sad.

Might be time for me to get off social media for good. Mothers posting staged meltdowns is one of the most despicable things I've ever seen. Overwhelming evidence of moral decay, self-centeredness and disrespect of life. Just disgusting.

@mattvanswol So very sorry for you loss Matt. I understand your grief as I lost my angel girl Queenie a few weeks ago. They are the most beautiful of creatures and losing them is devastating. Will be thinking of you and your family in this difficult time. 💔💔

@MauriceBenard I've watched this episode twice. Tyler was so incredibly brave to open up and share his darkest moments. He seemed like a kind, gentle soul who will truly be missed by many. Thank you Maurice for your bravery as well in sharing your story. You are an inspiration to us all!

Congrats to Ryan Garlitz & Zach Alexander for being named NHSCA Academic All-Americans for the third time. Also to Nick Curley, freshman also being named Academic All-American for the first time!!! That brings Prep Wrestling total to 65 since 1995.....
