This obviously applies to me too. You shouldn't automatically trust my word simply because I have good scores. Evaluate my trustworthiness according to what I've contributed to the community and to how much what I say actually aligns to what I do and how I play.

And there are other examples where dishonesty by a player is just taken as good advice simply because they have a higher benchmark rank. This is going on even as I type this, and no, it's not just with players who are cheating. It's quite dangerous if you think about it.

Sure, scores hold some weight in attesting to your skill level, but if all you have is a few benchmark ranks, and all of your contributions are score posting in the Voltaic scores channel, how should you hold more credibility than people who do way more than that?

We as aimers need to stop assigning so much value to people based on scores alone. So much more should go into who we decide to listen to as community members, and what happened back with Shimmy was just one example where misplaced credibility led to misinformation spreading.
