Just a reminder that illness is not a moral failing, and you're allowed to post that you have covid and how much it sucks without prefacing that with a long explanation of how careful you were.
@QuillRKukla @devisridhar Thankyou! I have Covid. It really sucks 😥
@QuillRKukla @alexandraphelan Can you post how this is the mildest wee sniffle ever and super anticlimactic after all the horror stories for 2 years? I'm 61, tested positive a few days ago and it's like the mildest little cold for a couple of days and now better. Know dozens who've had it now in same boat.
@QuillRKukla I see that a lot on the Liberal/Progressive side because many people are made to feel that way. It's unfortunate. I was oddly judged by some for getting it... when I explained that I never left my home for 2+ weeks and only interacted with my fiancé & daughter. It can happen.
@QuillRKukla @devisridhar There has always been a stigma associated with disease If you smoke you deserve cancer take drugs your a junkie drink too much you should know better None of this helps in solving the problem of illness Just makes the individual concerned feel even worse than they originally did
@QuillRKukla True, we don't 'need' to tell folks how careful we were, but we might still want to remember that our choices can have unwanted consequences. COVID fatigue is luring me into a bit of carelessness that I might need to reconsider.
@QuillRKukla @leftarmisme 👍👍👍(I think it's a form of venting.)
@QuillRKukla @devisridhar Thank you X What has happened to us all, that you have to post it x
@QuillRKukla just a reminder that if you live in the US maybe you should not post about your covid, as we don't know the whole hell that the insurance companies will unleash when they farm this information. if you live in a country with a decent health system, then feel free.
