tv news personalities can seemingly rise to the top of their profession if they value controversy over fact.
The solution becomes the baby thrown out with the bath water.
One problem with this type of repartee is that the valid arguments people do put forth go unappreciated.
The net effect is one of making fools of themselves.
News guests seem more interested in proving the other guy wrong than getting to the truth.
I remember when news anchors would let guests express opposing views and not side with one against the other.
