UPDATE: Ajax are putting pressure on Chuba Akpom to join Birmingham City because they would prefer to do a permanent deal. #BCFC & #AFCAjax are in talks over a £6m transfer. Akpom has completed a medical with Ipswich Town and is still in Suffolk. (w/@skysports_sheth) #ITFC

Smart bit of business, FFP resets for us on June 30 so imagine he’ll join July 1st, strict salary restrictions in Leagues 1 & 2 which we should see the back of in the summer. ~£3.5m better off and quality defender secured ahead of an assault on the Championship #BCFC #EFL

Players have ultimately down tools and it’s a disgrace. This squad had 50% win ratios under both Eustace and Mowbray this season but go missing under Rooney and Venus. No coincidence IMO, respect for the manager makes a huge difference #BCFC

I’m serious about getting a proper interim until the end of the season, Rowett primarily. Offer him a sizeable survival bonus and he’ll take it to tick over. Appreciate that means having 4 managers on the payroll 😂 however better than being in League One come August. #BCFC #KRO
