Wrestling season has officially come to a close. Our lady Warriors finished an impressive 4th overall at this week’s state tournament. When the dust settled there were 5 medalists standing on the podium - Von Loh 3rd, McNerney 5th, Sacharczyk 3rd, Newbern 5th and C. Grissom 4th.

At the end of day two we have a lot to celebrate. Here’s a couple notables… Everyone of our eight qualifiers picked up a win. This team is bringing home five state medals and what looks to be a fourth place finish. @RiverdaleHighTN @RHS_sports @RHS_SID @SeWrestle

In three years this team has gone from upstart to region dual champs and two time defending region individual champs. This week they’re going after a traditional state title. @RiverdaleHighTN @RHS_sports @RHS_SID @SeWrestle

This past weekend we sent four wrestlers to sections. While we weren’t able to get anyone through to the state tournament we certainly aren’t hanging our heads. Our section was home to 7 of last year’s state champs. If you’re looking for competition this is where you’ll find it.
