Our next outdoor meeting is on 24 January 2024 at Kinneil Kerse (10 am) where we should see a good selection of waders and ducks. Park at the end of the track beside the Water Works. Car share if possible as parking is limited.

Whitehill Gardens Musselburgh again Waxwing central today. Upto about 300 birds dodging the feisty Mistle Thrushes trying to defend their winter larders. One ringed Waxwing seen (reported) and house gutters provided watering points @birdinglothian@RSPBEdinburghLG

Sighthill only 6 Waxwing at 2pm but lovely to hear and see with the blue sky. 2 Fieldfare and large Starling flock not many berries left. I only have a small digital camera but got some reasonable photos considering how high they were . @RSPBEdinburghLG@birdinglothian
A very enjoyable coach outing for our Local Group - Maidens Harbour in the morning and @RSPBLochwinnoch in the afternoon. A Hen Harrier, Whooper Swan and Redwings amongst the highlights at Lochwinnoch. Water Rails squealing as well !
