@LamarMK I used to obsess about getting an aftermarket CarPlay system on my 2018 Nissan pathfinder. Then I bought a Tesla Model Y in 2023 and never thought about CarPlay again.

Hey @Tesla, I took delivery of a new Model Y RWD on September 11th to replace my 2023 MYLR. Still waiting for an update to FSD 14.2.2.5 on my new car while my old car just updated to FSD 14.3.9. How much longer do I have to wait for an update?

I used to feel the same way, until a recent experience with Amazon changed my mind. A package with three different orders went missing, marked as delivered, but never received. I clicked through to the order only to find I had to wait 48 hours to request a refund. After 48 hours the option to report a missing package disappeared. After several failed attempts to contact customer service, I asked Grok for advice. It gave me a link to open an Amazon AI chat. I reluctantly gave it the basics, and it immediately brought up the first item in the missing package and gave me the option to reorder or refund. I’d already reordered two of the items because I needed them for a party. I quickly got two refunds and a reorder, no questions asked. That was three weeks ago and all three items were correctly processed. The only thing I can conclude is that the AI instantly analyzed my return history, the two reorders and concluded I was legit. Sometimes AI gets it right.

I do a regular 500 mile road trip from Land O Lakes, FL to Dawsonville, GA. First stop is at a Winn Dixie for groceries, second is at Buc-ee’s for lunch. At both stops, my Tesla MY is ready to go before I am. With a little more effort, I’m sure I could replicate your miserable scenario.

This tax will hit the upper middle class making 200k to 400k. Above this amount, top earners will find ways to limit their earned income in lieu of restricted stock that pays dividends. Warren Buffet famously limits his earned income to 100k per year, well below the current SS cap. Elon Musk takes no salary.
