What does "molecularly impossible " mean???
@angoffinet It means the speaker is largely unfamiliar with modern molecular biology--having been away from science for four decades as a public official and power broker--and is desperately reaching for, and ultimately forced to make up from thin air, a "science-y" sounding phrase.
@R_H_Ebright @angoffinet I thought that this phrase is something which I only don’t know 😃He probably wanted to say that on phylogenetic level this doesn’t look possible. He doesn’t know or knows that a computer can generate new sequences from a 96-97 percent relative, it can be stitched and recovered!
