Light-1 was developed by young engineers and scientists working from labs in the UAE. The team is made up of 23 students, including nine Bahrainis and ten Emiratis from Khalifa University and NYU Abu Dhabi

The Emirati-Bahraini CubeSat Light-1, the result of the unprecedented joint collaboration between the @uaespaceagency and @nssa_bh, Khalifa University, and @NYUAbuDhabi, was launched successfully aboard @SpaceX CRS-24 flight on a Falcon 9 rocket to the International Space Station
NYUAD researchers and students worked in close collaboration with @KhalifaUni and @uaespaceagency on the UAE-Bahraini CubeSat, Light-1, which launched for the International Space Station today. We wish the mission great success! 👏🎉
The science instrument on board Light-1 (the RAAD Detector) was in development for years, starting with only a handful of very ambitious students. We are extremely proud of how much the team has grown since then. The contributions from everyone made the successful launch possible
