The Prime Minister cannot say how he will pay for his £46 billion unfunded promise to scrap National Insurance. He can either cut state pensions or the NHS or raise income tax - which one is it? #PMQs
@RachelReevesMP Just like any Labour Government, if he eliminates one income source it will be replaced by another tax.
@RachelReevesMP Rachel Reeves cannot say when this was promised.
@RachelReevesMP @wesstreeting I want to know we’re all the money as gone billions in test n trace PPE that was useless billions written extremely quickly or some reason yet this govt chase benefit claimants for pennies yet tories are taking billion
@RachelReevesMP There's lots of fat in the welfare budget. Get people off welfare and back to work. Introduce personal insurance in the NHS and reform it to cut waste and red tape. Cut state pensions. And cut taxes.
@RachelReevesMP 🤣 I love how Labour pretend they will protect the NHS when LABOUR brought in PFI aka privatisation of the NHS.
@RachelReevesMP Because he has not promised to scrap NI
@RachelReevesMP I was a bit dubious about the truth of this commitment but it appears you have a point telegraph.co.uk/business/2024/…
He’s not made an “unfunded promise” you scabrous liar. He’s suggested that an aspiration is to abolish NI. No timelines, non promises, just a “what if we could one day…” You can either admit you’re lying, or keep on eroding your own credibility. You used to have some shred of integrity. Not anymore- just shameless lies #NeverLabour
@RachelReevesMP Totally irrelevant. It’s 95% certain that the Labour Party will form the next government. How will you as Chancellor of the Exchequer fund Labour’s spending plans?
