On Tuesday Mark Carney voted no on a motion that simply stated Canada is in an affordability crisis after 11 years of Liberal government. Every other party voted yes. All 165 no votes came from Liberals. Carney was one of them. The motion failed 153 to 165. His own parliamentary secretary prefers the softer phrasing of an “affordability challenge.” Anyone who paid for groceries this week already knows which description matches the receipt. #cdnpoli
Canadians deserve answers about Mark Carney's out-of-touch EU fantasy. How much more of Canadians’ hard-earned taxpayer dollars is Carney sending overseas under the guise of “deepening ties” with the EU? Before Carney makes any more financial commitments abroad, Canadians deserve to know the price tag, the strings attached, and what exactly Canadian taxpayers are getting in return. There's got to be a reason the Eurocrats want Canada closer. They see an opportunity for more money, more influence and more control while Canadians get no say whatsoever. In the middle of a Liberal affordability crisis, Canada should not be treated as the ATM for foreign unelected Eurocrats.
Mark Carney believes Canada can replace more than $1 trillion in annual trade with the United States. But announcements are not outcomes. Despite all the speeches, summits and promises, Carney has yet to bring a single new free trade agreement into force. Meanwhile, Canadian industries continue to face punishing U.S. tariffs, and workers and businesses are left without the certainty they need. Canadians need real results, not more empty promises. Conservatives will continue to fight to protect Canadian jobs, open markets for Canadian goods and secure a good deal for Canada.
