Boat making takes a modern turn. Large thermocol (Polystyrene), wooden frames, and a petrol-run engine. When made with care, these can be used in the sea (BOB) to catch ilish..out for a little test drive!

What surprised me is this encounter with a Hindi ad announcement in the middle of a #Adivasi block in North 24 P of #Sundarbans. My informants didn’t know what the complete Hindi message exactly meant but they knew what it was for!
