How awesome was the trailer for the new Godzilla? I'm really excited to see it with John.

*Jack stacks the last jar on the top of the pile and steps down from the small stepladder.* Only another hour... *He sighs quietly.*

*Reaching up to the top shelf, he stacks up some jars. A group of children, no older than John run by, their mother chasing them.*

*Jack sighs, his day of work was dragging on. He hadn't realised that working in a super market could be so taxing.*

*He hummed himself a song as he tried again. He could just about get the hang of sunny side up, but over easy was much more difficult.*

*He starts again. It was two o'clock in the afternoon and Jack had been trying since ten in the morning to learn how to cook eggs.*

*Jack puts another failed attempt at fried egg over easy in the trash.* Still bad at cooking... *He murmurs to himself quietly.*

*Jack was awake. There was a noise coming from downstairs. He needed to do something about it.*

Happy Father's Day... John got me a tie... I'm not sure whether it was him or Rose that bought it... But it's nice.

*At work, Jack would always keep a close eye on everything important. His job meant that he would be away from home more than he liked to.*

*Jack washed his face, the warmth of the water was extremely pleasant feeling. Work had been hard and he was tired. It was late.*

*He entered his workplace. A tower of glass and steel. It reminded him of something from a Sci-Fi movie. He liked that.*

*The walk wasn't long. Jack was a fast walker. His body was still enhanced, not as much as it was, but enough.*

*Jack wrote a note to Rose and John explaining everything. He made sure to leave kisses after the word "Dad" and grabbed his coat.*

*Jack looked at his phone as it buzzed. A message. From his boss.* "Minor Emergency. Come at once. D." *Jack sighed quietly.*

*The film was over. Jack had wanted to be a detective as a young man. But that dream was over. And he was happier now because of it.*

*He finds a film. He didn't know it's name, but he recognised it. Dirty Harry. That was it's name. He liked that film.*

*Jack flicked through TV channels. There was talk of genetic enhancement being improved further. He wanted to avoid the subject.*
