In anticipation of Mac Williamson's return, we honor Chris Marrero AKA Bad Michael Morse, who beat out Mac as the Right-Handed platoon Left Fielder in 2017. That sentence alone just about sums up the '17 Season. Here's hoping for better luck this time, Mac! h/t @gggiants
@gggiants @j_s_stoef Did someone say Chris Marrero?
@KO_Crowley 🗣THATS NOT WHAT REPLAY IS FOR
“Two on, no out? Put us down for zero.”
@gggiants That AB is the current torch bearer for worst of the season.
@gggiants Wait, Major League pitching is different than AAA?
In a season to forget, Brian Bocock started 29 games for the 2008 Giants, including opening day. On this day 10 years ago he was our starting shortstop. With just 1 extra base hit and 29 strikeouts in 93 plate appearances, Bocock quickly found his way out of SF.
In 2009, the Giants needed a third bat in the middle of the order to support Pablo and Benji Molina to make a playoff push (that’s funny in itself). The answer? Acquiring 1B Ryan Garko from the Indians. Turns out, he wasn’t...the answer. But we will always have this picture!
@gggiants @carmenkiew Kruk gives zero commentary in response since he sees Kuip sweating and shaking in anger next to him...
@gggiants 20* but we are splitting hairs here
2002 was an incredible year. Shawon Dunston was not. At age 39, in his third stint in SF, the free swinging Dunston played in 72 games, and walked just 3 times. Yes I said 3 Times, in 153 PA. Of course he'd DH in the World Series and hit a homer. #SFGiants
Last Giants hitter with two walk-off hits in a 4-day span?? The one...the only.... Eugenio Velez. AKA The Great Hope of 2008-2009 H/T @dakern74
@gggiants That play was everything that is wrong with replay.
🚨 The Giants have three straight hits 🚨 THIS IS NOT A DRILL 🚨
Brad Hennessey, the Giants 1st Round pick in 2001, made his debut on Aug. 7, 2004. That day he gave up 7 hits and 4 runs over 4.2 innings. A 17-23 record over five seasons makes us all hold our breath and hope Beede's career goes better than Hennessey's did... @McCoveyChron
@carmenkiew @GrantBrisbee More timeless than a Roberto Hernandez tee shirt jersey #neverforget
