@ldpinawa @dontblamebri It’s the influence of the internet and social media and the appeal of extreme politics based on their shock factor to the public. You don’t have to look hard to find misinformation these days, so people choose to believe everything they read online which is a dangerous thing.

@sarahhmelnyk @avalinek_ I don’t think it’s him, I had him as a professor last term (if you’re talking about the guy who’s cat interrupted the video lectures). He does NOT seem like that kind of guy, and never treated students like that in-class. But yes, this guy is absolutely horrible 😞

@carguy_1970 @celezperez @yonatan03043652 @CWatkinsWDSU @wdsu It’s devastating like a tornado would be in the mountains or an earthquake in the prairies. It’s an extremely rare event and many people are going to suffer, possibly even die from this.

@carguy_1970 @celezperez @yonatan03043652 @CWatkinsWDSU @wdsu I live in Winnipeg and we see these storms and may laugh , but it’s true that those in Texas and Oklahoma (and the other areas affected) are simply not built for this. In-home heating is a luxury not an asset. Roads and homes aren’t the same.
