@Mares4Life (2)that he'll have to be euthanized sooner vs much later. Hearing the diagnosis and seeing my vets face as she said it had an instantaneous realization that life as I knew it had changed from one heartbeat to the next. The pain is there already...can completely empathize.

@Mares4Life (1)❤💔 Some just dont understand how much they are ingrained in our lives, and how every little thing affects us.Just recently got a DJD diagnosis for my boy. My farrier commented today how my face changed at those words. Yes, my boy is still here for now, but that fact remains

@sethcooleyeven1 Kindness is key all around. Totally understand the competitive disappointment. Struggling a little with that, exponentially more so with the DJD diagnosis on this end. Even at 19 he is fierce and wants to go.

@sethcooleyeven1 Multiple visits from a lameness specialist. All on a 19 y/o ottb gelding to hear yesterday that he is best suited as a gorgeous pasture puff. (Spent the last 6 years showing and hunterpacing). Could have bought a nice horse to chase hounds with what has been spent.
