Its not like 4 million of us bought our homes on a whim without doing any checks. Our solicitors, surveyors, and valuers informed us our homes were safe to buy. We DID our due diligence. @BorisJohnson @RishiSunak must now step in where the system has failed us #BuildingSafetyCrisis

Alex & his young family have a bill of £147,086 to fix fire safety defects not of their making in a block built in 2016. Agent says that professional fees of £270,000 are for "application to the Government support scheme": The block is under 18m & there is NO govt support scheme!

@Andyc32 @Steven836297981 @Keir_Starmer The government is accountable for the law, the leasing company (owner) wouldn't be following that law by not giving you a replacement car per your lease, therefore the government's accountability is to action the law NOT think, hmm maybe on this occasion it's the driver's problem

@Andyc32 @Keir_Starmer I'll make it clearer: a defective car model rushes thru several rigorous 'standards and safety' checks before sale and is later found after sale by manufacturer to have defects (likely due to an accident, think Grenfell) all cars are then recalled by manufacturer. Not the same

@Andyc32 @Keir_Starmer Yeah, because it's also ok to legally drive a pre-1966 car that has no seat belts, though the law changed. Nobody pays to have them fitted to meet modern standards... And car manufacturers never re-call cars that are found to have dangerous defects either, that never happens...

@DJamesEngland @BeefAndTeeth 'The said truth is that it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong.' Bentham. Even Philosophy has sides: quoting a philosopher doesn't make it correct. Moral systems always benefit 'certain people' ask Nietzche, m8 - he'll tell ya.

@paige_summers92 @FFCSeb @piersmorgan How are black people equal? Have you ever had to make your name look/sound more 'white' on your CV to improve your chances of getting a job even though you're equally as qualified & capable? And don't get me wrong this isn't just limited to black people, but it's relevant.

We clap for the immigrants who are on our frontline with one hand and slap them round the face with the other. I suspect this is what Priti was like at school. And I bet she eats chapatti with a knife and fork.

We’re ending free movement to open Britain up to the world. It will ensure people can come to our country based on what they have to offer, not where they come from.
