Israel is a democracy with a multi-racial society. The Arab minority actively participate in the political process. There are Arab parliamentarians, judges, cabinet ministers, heads of hospital departments, university professors, diplomats as well as police & army officers.
While the reunification of Jerusalem was one of the greatest achievements in Israel's history, the territorial gains of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank created a new reality for Israel as these territories were home to millions of Palestinians and refugees. #RealFacts
The war resulted in a decisive Israeli victory, with Israel capturing the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip from Egypt, the Golan Heights from Syria, the West Bank of the Jordan River from Jordan as well as conquering East Jerusalem and capturing the Old City of Jerusalem.
Israel's Six-Day War of 1967 was a brief but pivotal war fought between Israel and a coalition of Arab states, primarily Egypt, Syria and Jordan. The Arab coalition attempted to destroy Israel but failed miserably.
