Sad to say my final day at @TheOxfordMail has come and gone. I’ve loved my time here, and it’s a truly fab paper. Thanks to @_AndrewColley @OxMailTimHughes @bahardy45 and @ElofsonMatt for all their help. Very excited for what the next year holds.

Great evening the launch, it was fab to see the possibilities of how grassroots-independents united by a set of values and the freedom to choose could change oxfords political system. Certainly many of us are fed up with cllrs putting careers and party lines over people.

Time to rethink oxford’s LTN’s . It simply isn’t working.
Clinton Pugh has put up another banner outside of Cafe Coco railing against the East Oxford LTNs. This one warns that ‘Oxford is closing’ and calls the county council ‘dictators’ It comes before Tuesday’s crunch decision on whether the LTNs will be made permanent.
@ReconnectingOx They won't. They're so convinced of their divine rightness (and their Divine Right) that they won't back down for a second.
Time for good @OxfordshireLab1 colleagues like @MarkLygo to work with @GroupOx-@OxonTories to fix this. Trialling the odd #LTN years ago was reasonable. But they've since taken on a life of their own under @LibDemsOxon. They've proven divisive & disproportionate. #EnoughIsEnough.
This is heart breaking - and this is the reality for too many of the most vulnerable members of society trying to get around Oxford at the moment. We urgently need transport solutions which work for them.
Thank you to everyone who shared their stories with me and for trusting me to articulate your thoughts in the right way. I’ll particularly miss those in East Oxford who have been left behind and are still crying out for their concerns to be listened to.
I needed to take a teenager and his large desktop PC to the excellent Chatterbox Repairs on Cowley Rd this afternoon. It took 90 minutes to drive there and back from Marston. Madness. Some routes through the conglomeration of LTNs are needed to allow traffic to move @AndrewGant3
