The passing of the aid bill is already being felt on the battlefields of Ukraine without a single bullet from it being delivered, there has already been an uptick in outgoing fire missions and counter battery. Ukraine was short of ammunition, their stocks were low but they had a strategic reserve, a necessity in case of a sudden breakthrough of the lines. That strategic reserve is now being utilised (to some extent) as they know these stocks will soon be replenished. I have spoken with a couple of friends on the front line and whilst they admit for them the effects of the aid bill are minimal as of today they report there is a sense, a feeling that they have not been forgotten, an optimism amongst the troops and morale is a powerful weapon. They both, from seperate units and seperate areas are excited about one thing in particular, artillery cluster munitions provided by the US. I knew these were something that had made an impact but these guys talk about them with reverence, they are coveted and rationed and utilised like no other munition on the frontline. A single accurate round has the ability to stop an entire attack in its tracks. I hope the US sends them a million. Expect to see the vattys talking about negotiations a lot (again) things are looking dire for russia, with this from the US along with the Czech ammunition initiative the Ukrainians have enough to keep them going until European artillery production can catch up. This gives me hope, this gives the defenders hope and this drives fear and dread into the heart of the muscovites. Keep hope alive, support Ukraine for as long as they need us. Слава Україні ✌🏼
@Reevesity @AleksandrX13 It’s a disbelief to think that EU artillery production will catchup. There are 0 government projects in Germany which have been delivered with less than 2 years delays in the last 20 years. If gov is involved, this will be chewing gum.
@Reevesity Did they see our legislators waving the UA flag in the House of Representatives? Did they realize that for the U.S. a 70:30 vote almost never happens?
@Reevesity This rings true to me. I was thinking about this the other day, it seems obvious that cluster shells would be far more useful than unitary rounds. Armour can be effectively destroyed by FPVs, but infantry needs clusters. In retrospect, the cluster ban signed by many was unwise.
@Reevesity @NAFOfellaLotte I agree with you, but… while this package is a big help towards victory… EUROPE STILL NEEDS TO RAMP UP HELP!!!! We cannot go back to semi lethargy!!!!! This package won’t solve everything!
@Reevesity The emotional dimension is a force multiplier.
