When Nasdaq begins advancing equity tokenization, the boundary between stocks and Tokens is being rewritten. On March 9, 2026, Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ) announced that it intends to introduce a new Equity Token Design, a framework that places listed companies back at the center of ownership, investor experience, transparency, and governance. Through regulated market infrastructure, it aims to promote the tokenization of equities, enhance issuers’ control over their tokenized shares, and upgrade proxy voting, corporate actions, and governance participation in a programmable way. This is not merely a product design update; it is more like a directional signal: in the future, stocks may increasingly become like Tokens, and Tokens may increasingly become like stocks. AIXC happens to stand at both ends of this trend— on one end, it connects public market and compliant capital market narratives; on the other, it continues building infrastructure for Tokens, RWAs, and on-chain collaboration.
