@Chris_arnade How does the building more apartments drive up housing prices? Where this has been done in places like Seattle the extra supply has led to lower prices. Where it hasn’t (like SF) it just means ever higher prices as renters fight over the scraps available.

@laurencerowe in my upstate neighborhood for one. Influx of new, wealthier resident, has made it hard for long time working class residents to stay here
@Chris_arnade @laurencerowe The solution is to build more housing. This isn't 1974 where moving from San Jose to Boise would've been an impossible thought. What's the difference (to society) between a long time resident of Boise compared to somebody who decamped there 4 years ago?
