the biggest change that's happened in dance music in the pas 20 years is the goals of a newcomer going from "how can i get involved in the community?" to "how can i blow up to an international level, quickly?"
i had a dream i dropped my laptop and bent it on a 90 degree angle. but it was because I grabbed a good boy (dog) by the collar to prevent him from falling off a janky wooden staircase on the side of a mountain top. i picked it up after and bent i back, like "meh, still works"
Coming close to finishing a track which was made using 'rosetta mode' out of necessity. feeling the impulse to load the project file onto another hard drive once finished & smash it to pieces so i never have to go back to it again and experience the glitchy strain of rosetta.
Sometimes doing 17 more versions after the "Final" version is what it takes. 🧱🔨
