Last year, we helped bring $1.5 million from the Department of Justice to the City of Orlando for its Community Violence Intervention Program. Thanks to this funding, the City has approved expanding the program from 5 neighborhoods to 8, and allowing community-based organizations to do the work to put an end to the gun violence epidemic. mynews13.com/fl/orlando/new…
Before blaming guns for violence, you may want to look at the root causes of violence. The UK banned firearms to stem the violence, but now the weapon of choice is a knife. The problem is that people have no respect for life. You have called for importing refugees from countries that have a history of violence, such as Haiti. Most of the violence that is currently being committed in America is because laws are not enforced. There is no consequence for bad behavior. People refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Bad behavior is a personal choice.
@RepMaxwellFrost Great job, ya'll!
@RepMaxwellFrost at the end of the day gun control legislation has harmed poor minority communities at an astronomical rate to the point where no matter how much you bloat police spending...the good ol boys the ones that killed George Floyd,the ones that like to turn their body cams off #STOP702
