A statement from the family of Ashley Smith Flynn: Today's verdict brings justice and accountability for Ashley's death and our family is deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring us to this moment. However, no verdict can bring Ashley back, give the girls back their mother, or erase the pain our family has endured. The cruelty of what happened to Ashley, and the things we've been forced to hear and relive, have at times felt unbearable. But through all of it, we've held tightly to this truth. Ashley's life will not be defined by the way it ended. She'll be remembered for the way she lived. Ashley loved Jesus with her whole heart. Her faith wasn't simply something she simply spoke about. It was how she lived. She loved people well, found joy beyond her circumstances, prayed boldly for her family, and wanted her life to point people to Jesus. Most of all, she loved being a mom. She prayed over her girls, taught them to love God, and showed them what it looked like to live with faith, kindness, joy, and grace. We refuse to let the evil that ended Ashley's life have the final word in her story. Our faith does not erase our grief, but it carries us through it. We know Ashley is home with the Lord she loved and served. So as this chapter closes, our prayer is that Ashley's story does not end with a verdict. We pray it continues through her girls, our family, and every person touched by the way she lived. If you want to honor Ashley, love people well, pray boldly for your family, choose joy, and point people to Jesus. We are deeply grateful to the jury for their careful attention and service, and to the Miami County Prosecutor's Office, the Tipp City Police Department, the FBI, BCI, and every investigator and advocate who worked tirelessly to seek the truth. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for, loved, and supported our family. We ask for privacy now as we continue healing and loving Ashley's girls the way she would want them loved. Please remember Ashley. Not for how she died, but for how beautifully she lived.

❤️ THE ASHLEY FLYNN WE HAVEN’T HEARD ENOUGH ABOUT Over the past week, much of the courtroom attention has centered on Caleb’s mistress, their affair, and their messages. I wanted to shift the focus back to Ashley and share more about her life and the family left behind. Ashley and her younger sister, Kayla Keyt, attended Lee University together. Their husbands, Caleb Flynn and Matthew Keyt, were close friends and members of the same fraternity. The men also worked together in the family business. During her testimony, Kayla described Ashley as her best friend. They talked every day, saw each other several times a week, carpooled, and “tag-teamed life.” Their lives were closely intertwined, from college and marriage to work and raising their children. Following Ashley’s death, Kayla and Matthew welcomed Ashley’s two daughters into their home, creating what Kayla described as their “new family of six.” One detail Kayla shared was their bedtime high-five tradition. Such a small thing, but a glimpse into how their family is navigating life after Ashley’s death. In a Facebook post, Kayla thanked their community for providing meals, groceries, laundry help, donations for the girls’ future, and even helping renovate their home to accommodate their expanded family. She also spoke about relying on her faith and encouraged others to honor Ashley’s legacy. With so much attention on the affair and the testimony surrounding it, I think it’s important that Ashley’s own story doesn’t get lost in all of this. She was a mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose death has forever changed the lives of those closest to her. Please keep Ashley’s daughters and her entire family in your prayers. Remember Ashley Flynn. Please share to flood the feed with pictures of Ashley.❤️

@WitchyUFOGirl @LakeCityHD6864 @HomeDepot They kill them for sure.

@Arlena_Della @iamlegacy23 I agree, probably that coward lied about the text messages.

Australian chess champion Heather Richards boycotted Israel at the 46th chess Olympiad this week ✊🏻 🇵🇸 She said: "I am not playing. I am participating in the sporting boycott of Israel. Russia is currently banned from competing in the chess olympiad due to the invasion of Ukraine. Israel should be banned from the chess olympiad. I am doing this because Israel is committing a genocide. The chess olympiad is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, with over 200 countries competing this year. Letting Israel participate in major sports events allows them to engage in sportswashing of their reputation and to project an image of normality to the world while they commit genocide and apartheid. Over 70,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7 2023, over 21,500 of which are children. There have been almost 1,400 fatalities since the “ceasefire”. At least 21,000 children have been disabled. Israel’s own internal documents state that the civilian deaths are about 83% of all deaths. In 2025, the United Nations Independent Commission of Inquiry on Occupied Palestinian Territory found that Israel had committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. In 2026, they also found that Israeli authorities and security forces have deliberately targeted Palestinian children as part of their genocidal and atrocity crimes in both Gaza and the West Bank. The International Court of Justice has issued arrest warrants for war crimes and crimes against humanity for Netanyahu and other Israeli ministers. Israel should be banned from all sporting events just like apartheid South Africa was. I oppose genocide. I oppose the Israeli apartheid which denies Palestinians basic rights and dignity. I oppose the illegal occupations of the Palestinian territories as per the ruling of the International Court of Justice. I stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people."

@iamlegacy23 It blows my mind how seemingly normal people is capable of such horrendus act. RIP Ashley Smith
