Indian Medical education teaches us to be salaried employees. No where in the training is there exposure to health care startup, hospital economy, HR management. Freshly minted doctors are left on their own to navigate this complex ecosystem. 1/2
These seminars are held instead in management institutes teaching MBAs how to run the hospital to make it profitable. If we smart enough to crack one of the toughest exams in India, work insane hours, we should reap the benefits of healthcare, not MBAs.
@Rishabh2970 Employer banne ka koi course nahi hota dost. MBA bhi karke log naukri hi karte hain.
@Rishabh2970 Do doctors need to be taught about management?Engineers are not taught about management during engineering, they go ahead and do MBA.If one wants to learn management, they can go ahead, crack another toughest exam CAT,learn it.i don't think point of MBBS,MD is to train businessmen
@Rishabh2970 In Engineering lso u r nt taught t build ur own Rocket In Mgmt u r primarily taught t bcm a Manager. In law u r nt taught hw t build ur own chamber No professional course teaches self induced endeavours, instead dey equip u wd tools, u go ahead opn garage or build ur own vehicle
@Rishabh2970 For that to happen we'ld need a change at the management level in unis and be needing profs and deans who dont frown upon money We need to get rid of the thought that academics and money cant go hand in hand Eventually 1 will have to prioritise but its not unsustainable
