Yes exactly this. If the Foreign Secretary were interested in facts rather than stories, he would know that there are no restrictions whatsoever on the entry of medicines into the Gaza Strip, and that no medicines are being blocked; that 22,500 tons of medical supplies have entered Gaza since the ceasefire began; and that Gazans exit the Strip for medical treatment, including 200 who did so in just the last two weeks. And of course, the British Foreign Secretary is well aware of all this, as the UK is a member of the International Gaza Support Center, which facilitates the delivery of medical aid to the Gaza Strip. But apparently, facts matter less (when making a video for a political audience).

Last night I saw a long screed of an email from an average NZ artist to someone I know, that referred to the fact that this artist used to have a Jewish friend. The Jewish ex-friend had a non-Jewish wife. This is what the artist wrote in this email I saw: “He is a father. He has a wife. She is a mother. One day she posted on Facebook a picture of a field of grass blowing in the wind. I commented: 'I suppose when you hear the wind in the grass it subsumes the screams of dying children.' Something like that. Need I say we are no longer friends.” I’ve been thinking about this all day. This is the Israel derangement syndrome “but what about Gaza?”meme. This artist is proud of the fact that he made that comment to the non-Jewish wife of a Jewish man in a country about as far away from Gaza as you can get when she posted an unrelated picture of a landscape. He really believes that he was justified in doing this. That it was his duty, actually. And he quotes notorious Jewhater Roald Dahl at length. If you needed an(other) example of how the antizionist mind virus works to normalise otherwise socially unacceptable behaviour and get its carriers addicted to preposterous self-aggrandising statements and moral narcissism, here it is.
