@elonmusk The very concept of "hate crime"is based on a pretty naïve idea that anyone else can know what was going through another's head at the time they were crimin' up the joint. It's a foolish notion best left to the feds (oh, wait)

@davidmjrobbins @LegoRacers2 To this must post favorite Gen X manifesto: "This is the first time in US memory that the older generation has looked back at the younger one and been shocked—not because they’re rambunctious, but because they’re boring, uptight, self-righteous assholes."

@LegoRacers2 Approximate actual age ranges for the admittedly stupid and nebulous concept of demographic "generations": Gen Z: 13-24 years old Millennials: 25-43 years old Gen X: 44-62 years old Baby Boomers: 63-81 years old Silent Generation 81+ years old

@LegoRacers2 I assume/hope this is just a bad joke, because otherwise it is perhaps the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

@KylesastupidHue @LegoRacers2 "Everyone over is a Boomer" IS the kind of proud monumental ignorance that marks so many young'uns as puerile morons, and it IS astounding how often Gen Xers are just left out of these types of discussions, but I don't think we're quite the "only generation worth talking about."

@augustacfoster @KevOnStage It's really cool to see one of these that's a positive thing, and about solidarity

@HazelAppleyard_ Who does it help to be this mean about it? What does it cost anyone to say "he's Eliot" instead of "she's Ellen." This is... a person being criticized for minding their own business and LOVING someone else.

@jondelarroz @jk_rowling "Perversion" is not exactly a well-defined term, y'know. And that's not fair; it shouldn't be hard to acknowledge that both autogynephilia and gender dysphoria exist.

@birdfishbunny There's so much emotion in their posture. I love this. And it was cool to see it like that.

@_Sp4nk0_ Hi there - bit weird cuz I was just browsing your lovely collection of gifs, but I thought I'd offer the last part of this vis-a-vis D&D mental stats: Charisma is convincing someone to put tomatoes in a fruit salad anyway.

@jk_rowling "Trans-identified men"? They don't identify as "trans," they're bio-males identifying as women. If "trans-women" implies too much equivalence why not at least say "MTF people"? Only the most extreme think there's absolutely no difference in any context always, but why be hurtful?

@eastwoodx @JackPosobiec @IsaiahLCarter Please do share because I am confused as hell, unless it's just supposed to mean "people can't afford homes this big anymore"

@OUnderfolder @ramb0shi @wirmola @InterestingSTEM Without parentheses I just read it straight across, so that anything times 0 equals 0, and so didst I thinketh the answer zero, but with the proper parentheses (a convention established *specifically* to avoid this kind of ambiguity) it's much clearer that it should be 12.

@jk_rowling @JohnJamesNI Lotta gay folk get mad about that broader inclusion but, forget the who's-more-oppressed pissing contest, it's not ABOUT that. It's about who EXISTS. Yeah sure, you could rank it in terms of how easy it is to hide (thus: trans, gay, bi, altersexual, asexual) but NOT THE POINT.

@jk_rowling @JohnJamesNI I see it like there's: the difference path (straight) the sameness path (gay) the both path (bi) the other path (innate sexual orientation to something not intercourse {e.g. a spanking fetish}) the non-path (asexual). Can we not be subtle enough to recognize all that? Not complex

@jk_rowling @Julietangel89 @JohnJamesNI It's (hetero/bi/homo/a)-romantic sexual. The last might be confusing, so: full-blown "aromantic asexual" - no idea what the percentages are but I suppose that last is the stereotype. That such people exist should not be controversial, especially when they'll tell you they exist.

@jk_rowling Think the idea's less "asexuals are oppressed" & more "they exist." Wouldn't call it oppressive, but I'm sure it gets exhausting being told that it's not real or that you're just repressed. Many can't seem to grow the concepts "neither," "both" or "other" as sexual orientations.

@beepboep @suzietoot But it's also really sad how many people either lost (or never developed) the ability to process disagreement as not being some kind of personal attack

@beepboep @suzietoot I don't really know what's being referenced here, but I looked her up and she seems to have recently said summat like "I'm a pop star, why do you care about my political opinions?" which is incredibly reasonable
