.@NepalPoliceHQ Hosing down peaceful protesters is unacceptable. We urge the government to respect people's right to protest and not use the pandemic as a pretext to resort to arbitrary use of force against peaceful protesters.
The police hosed down an entirely peaceful protest for no reason at all
Watch out #nepalgovernment, the change is INEVITABLE! We’re tired of you not being accountable, and your lack of responsibility. #downwithincompetence
Protest at Baluwatar against government’s handling of the pandemic Although the protest was peaceful, police used water cannons and batons on protestors. tkpo.st/2XKccKd — by @Sayami
I got to meet iih, the most peace loving person I know. He’s been vocal about the issues thru his social media and been consistently providing thorough opinions to tackle them. It’s very heartbreaking to see him go thru all this. Justice shall be prevailed. #downwithincompetence

@RobinhoodApp Why such a sudden downfall in #INVVY stock? And wtf is "untradeable" suppose to mean in the middle of business hours?
#OPINION: Chinese efforts in bringing the pandemic under control have been widely appreciated. Can China’s model be replicable for Nepal?myrepublica.nagariknetwork.com/news/what-nepa…
@Zero5620 @Ashim1412 @knchn19 @NepalPoliceHQ About the mentioned video, you can literally hear the full conversation and without trying to help him understand or them understanding the guy’s circumstance, they start beating him and yet you’re here asking for more content and helping these behaviors foster.
I don’t usually post much on Twitter nowadays, but today I had to! I know how powerful twitter actually can be so, I’ve been seeing these videos of @NepalPoliceHQ brutally beating some people cause they were found outside their house on the street during ongoing #Nepallockdown
@Zero5620 @Ashim1412 @knchn19 @NepalPoliceHQ So do you think the only way you can punish somebody is by beating them like that? Come on man, there are other ways you can punish them. Why would that action be the only option?
@bnodg @NepalPoliceHQ Thank you for letting me know. Would you please forward me the news source or anything if you run into it again? And thanks for your suggestion. Transitioning took a pretty long time I guess, will try my best to raise my voice for the good for something that matches my values.
@Ashim1412 @knchn19 @NepalPoliceHQ I totally support everything you said and I agree this is a pandemic and not a joke. What I’m arguing is the ways and Nepali police deciding who deserves this punishment and who doesn’t. There are ways that you can treat human and ways to help them understand it.
@anupliverpool @Ashim1412 @knchn19 @NepalPoliceHQ Oh yeah, I forgot brutally beating a poor guy who can’t raise his voice against this act is fine? Why should he be the one and not those well off people who were driving on those streets? The other thing there are ways that you can send message to billions and beating ain’t one..
It’s a time when Nepali people need each other the most, and brutally punishing them would alter their mindset during crisis. This lockdown is for everyone’s safety and #corporalpunishment is not gonna help it. I’d like the response from @NepalPoliceHQ regarding this!
But they won’t bother changing anything since that’s how they have been doing it and nobody probably might have raised a question for their inhumane behavior. It’s a time for a change, a time for #nocorporalpunishment and to find an alternative during this epidemic.
