How to ease lower back pain and improve sciatic pain.

The New York Knicks are tabling all contract extension talks, per team spokesperson: "As an organization, our entire focus is on preparing for the upcoming season and delivering another year for our fans to be proud of. As a result, we will not be negotiating contract extensions until later in the season and will remain solely focused on preparing for the start of the season."

Chargers placed tight end David Njoku on injured reserve, signed veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their active roster and signed long snapper Spencer Triplett to their practice squad.

CONTEXT: On #Giants QB Jaxson Dart “being able to walk off” as was emphasized in the report below. It goes without saying that we’re all waiting on the official and complete injury assessment on Dart as this game ensures. However, being able to “walk” after any leg injury is not* always an indicator of degree or severity of injury—in general. During 25 years of NFL reporting, I’ve seen players walk to the locker room, laugh with teammates, get ready to leave and the next day be declared out for the season, some have returned to play. To be clear again, I’m not specifically equating anyone else’s injury to Dart’s case now because OBVIOUSLY we don’t know any official and* complete word yet. The point I am making now is that being able to “walk off” and emphasizing this aspect, evidently can actually mean nothing at all…at times.

In Virginia, a group of high school students is making a real difference by repairing donated cars and giving them away for free to single mothers in need of reliable transportation. At Staunton High School’s automotive technology program, students go far beyond textbook lessons. Under the guidance of their teacher, they restore old vehicles donated by local residents and organizations, bringing them back to safe, road-ready condition. Once the repairs are complete, the cars are gifted to single mothers who often struggle to get to work, school, or medical appointments without dependable transportation. This heartfelt initiative beautifully combines hands-on education with meaningful community service. While building valuable technical skills, these students are also giving struggling families greater independence, freedom, and opportunity for a better future.

One of THE BEST Mike drop moments.

A large data center in Georgia used nearly 30 million gallons of water without proper metering. This situation has caused significant frustration among local residents who were being asked to conserve water during a drought. People in Fayetteville Georgia first became aware of the issue when their home water pressure suddenly dropped. A county utility investigation later discovered that a major data center campus owned by Quality Technology Services or QTS had two unmetered water connections. One connection was completely unknown to the utility. The other was not properly linked to the companys account. In total the facility drew more than 29 million gallons of water during construction and site preparation. This volume equals about 44 Olympic sized swimming pools and greatly exceeded the agreed upon limits. QTS has since paid a retroactive bill of 147474 dollars. The company attributed the problem to a transition involving smart meters. However residents remain upset about the incident. The news emerged at the same time county officials were encouraging everyone to reduce their water use because of ongoing drought conditions across the state. Even though the data center took a large unauthorized amount of water local utility leaders chose not to issue any fines. They described the company as an important partner in the area. This decision has increased community opposition. The Fayetteville City Council responded by passing a ban on new data center projects. The controversy has also sparked a broader discussion about the heavy resource demands placed by the technology industry on local communities.

Would you try the Lilliputian mushroom? It makes you see tiny people everywhere. Scientists don't even know why it does this because it doesn't contain any known psychoactive compounds. But, quite reliably, you chow down on this shroom and you're seeing little people.

The Sun has only 22 galactic orbits left. Earth races around the Sun at ~67,000 mph (107,000 km/h), giving us our familiar 365.25-day year and changing seasons. But the Sun is in motion too—hurtling through the Milky Way at ~514,000 mph (828,000 km/h) on a grand orbit around the galactic center. One complete lap, known as a cosmic year, takes roughly 225–230 million years. When the Sun finished its most recent galactic orbit, the earliest dinosaurs were just beginning to roam Earth. Since its birth ~4.6 billion years ago, our star has completed about 20 such orbits. Stellar models predict the Sun will keep fusing hydrogen in its core for another ~5 billion years before it swells into a red giant and eventually fades into a white dwarf. At its current orbital speed, that leaves roughly 22 more laps around the Milky Way. Each cosmic year sweeps the entire Solar System tens of thousands of light-years across the galaxy—through dense spiral arms rich with star-forming regions, past ancient globular clusters, and amid countless other stars. Continents drift, mountains rise and erode, entire species evolve and vanish—all within a tiny fraction of one galactic circuit. Human civilization, from the first cities to today’s digital age, has existed for less than 0.001% of a single cosmic year. We are passengers on a star halfway through its ~10-billion-year galactic journey across a 100,000-light-year-wide disk—witnessing just the briefest sliver of one ongoing lap in an unimaginably vast cosmic dance.
