Until then, we need improved indoor air (‼️), LC solutions (‼️), better treatments, vaccines & prophylaxis. And if you're like me and still don't want to catch or spread covid, mask indoors, esp where there's poor ventilation & crowds; strategically test, isolate & treat. 🙏🏾❤️
No news is good news on the variant front. Still mostly JN.1. I haven't heard yet whether the 2024 vaccine will be updated for JN.1, but if it is, and things stay the way they are, there's a chance of better protection against - and slowing of - transmission.🤞🏽
The good news is that hospitalizations have continued coming down since, and because deaths follow by a few weeks, we can expect deaths to continue coming down for at least that long. Hopefully, we get a few months of decreased transmission before things head back up.🤞🏽 2/4
