new announcement. i just got a $50k #TopStep eval account and i'm starting futures. $SPY 0DTE is still my main driver. futures is a learning expansion. but here's the thing — whenever you start something new, you need a written system before you touch real money. whether that's 0DTE, futures, anything. so here's mine. publicly, before i trade a single contract. the instrument: MES (Micro E-Mini S&P 500) why MES? it tracks the same market i already know. $SPY 0DTE taught me how SPY moves. MES lets me apply that same level knowledge with defined risk and longer holds. the timeframes: • 1hr for trend and bias • 15min for ORB setup • 5min for execution and entry the rules: • max risk per day: $350. hit it, i'm done. no exceptions. • max win per day: $500. lock the account after a winning day. • max contracts: 5 micro contracts only • daily goal: $300/day over 10 days to pass. or $150/day over 20 days. why lock the account after a winning day? because overtrading wins is how you give it all back. i learned this in 0DTE. same rule applies here. the hold times will be longer than 0DTE. not 1-15 minutes. actual intraday positions. but the discipline framework is identical. define the risk before you start. follow the system you wrote down. never let a win turn into a loss. i'm building this habit from the ground up. and documenting all of it in real time here on X. 0DTE taught me the discipline. now futures is testing it on a different instrument. let's run it
