Is this gonna be the death of Twitch?

CEO Dan Clancy says Twitch now uses AI to identify streamers that may not match a brand, since it now transcribes all streams for brand safety. It won't show ads on channels or content the AI believes don't match what the advertiser is trying to achieve.

I was today years old when I learned that the lyrics were actually “I’m gonna change you like a remix. Then I’ll raise you like a phoenix”

@PlayStation is updating their terms of service to state that when you purchase any game on the PlayStation store you are only purchasing the license to play the game and this can be taken away at any time for any reason If buying isn’t owning then piracy’s not stealing!!! 🏴‍☠️

This is awful news to hear. I just wish all gen AI was made illegal everywhere. To all CEO’s promoting AI, your jobs are the easiest to replace and should be the most scared of your positions.

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
