@ScottEnlow I don’t mind these calm auditors, in fact I think they’re doing a service to the community (eg these cops now know better). BUT… when an auditor gets vulgar and offensive, cursing and yelling, that just pisses off the cops, making them likely to abuse the next guy they meet.

@NewEmergingKing I’m surprised by some of the negative comments. I don’t think he’s criticizing others so much as he’s trying to teach his children good citizenship. There certainly are some lazy people who leave there carts all over (occasionally I have done it and I am shamed).

Clearly the scammer(s) had input information from the ad into the website. I stopped there and did not proceed. Went back to my text session with the “buyer” and told him to F-off. Note: this is NOT A CRAIGSLIST issue. Any ad forum is susceptible. They match your email to get u.

I posted on Craigslist with a title of “Monterey family ski boat”. Eventually went to the above website and entered VIN and email in the VIN Lookup Tool (actually a chatbot session”). The description of my boat in this “independent”website came up: Monterey family ski boat. Huh?

SCAM ALERT !!! If you’re selling a boat online and a prospective buyer asks you for a history report (akin to CarFax, but not something you recognize), like BR, GH, ALLMS, etc, then you are being SCAMMED! You dump $80 on a report that never comes and your buyer vanishes.
