OK. I may have been excited when I harvested my first potatoes. Today though... today I got my first purple potato and I cannot overstate how amazed I am. I LOVE IT! #food #gardening #love

Tripod the fence lizard. He's fearless, which probably accounts for the leg and tail. He's a become a cherished garden resident, though he obviously thinks he's the boss. #wildlifephotography #Garden #spring

The first few ripe strawberries came in off my towers today. I've definitely improved my care of them and it's really paying off! Healthy happy plants and many incoming berries! #gardening #strawberry #spring

We hung a bird feeder outside my daughter's window so she can watch them in her bedroom. #bird #nature

We're expecting several storms in a row. It's a little bit nerve wracking because our whole town is kind of a wildfire burn scar right now. (Big debris/mud flow danger) In the meantime these clouds are gorgeous! #winter2021 #cloud #weather

@DanielGellenbe1 Thanks. Original credit to @CaliKimGarden for the idea. I have children who can eat their weight in strawberries daily, so I needed efficiency.

40+ strawberry starts in. Really gotta get this done before the sun stays dropping with the temp. My hands are aching from the cold+wind+water combo. #gardening #WINTER #strawberry

Trying to start some yams! After they sprout I'll clip them and put the sprouts in water to root. #gardening #winter #yummy

I present to you: The mobius chicken? Tribble chicken? Chicken ball? This is my cockeral Joey grooming. Anyway, today was mostly a homework day, so I didn't get much outside stuff done to post. Hence the chicken ball. 🤣🐓 Enjoy. #chicken #silly #homestead

Have I been stress baking again? Maybe a little... Looking forward to the day I can share these with my adventuring party in person again! #hope #dnd #lockdown2021

@midge_thomas This is Asclepias tuberosa. I have not heard of Joe Pye Weed, but it comes up as Eutrochium purpureum on Google.

Got some milkweed for the butterflies. Thought I'd planted it late enough to be past egg laying so I'd have a season to get it established. Nope. Lol. Had to move this guy to the neighbors. Ate me out of house and home. (My plant was too small.) #monarchbutterfly #gardening
