Finally after one week my Internet has been restored. It had nothing to do with my router which was rebooted Soooo many times. The tech switched me to a new line in their local box (not at my house) and then viola all things restored.
When your fiber Internet is down and your neighbors too, but Frontier won't admit there's an outage. Phone call to Frontier support confirmed there's an outage affecting fiber customers in HB and LB CA...
It's now day end of day 6. Was told yesterday that it would be restored by today. Ended up buying a 5g hot spot as I'm still waiting. Allegedly a technician is coming to check things Thursday... One week Internet outage tomorrow! I've been in touch through a different SM tool.
@AkoredeRichard Nice try!! For any and all who hear from this guy beware. SPAMMER / SCAMMER!!! Last I checked Frontier is in Texas not Lagos, Nigeria.
@AskFrontier Hi Steph, you are now followed.
@FrontierCorp Feel free to DM me if you'd like to help and I can provide you with my information. Or, look me up as I am one of your customers and call me. You have the data!
Day 5 starts - still no Internet - router rebooted well over a dozen times (neighbor and other still down as well) moments of "up" and then back down.... And no information. Why don't you post an acknowledgement at least? Provide an ETA for restoration? @FrontierCorp
@mattbecker8 @FrontierCorp @Verizon Right there with you. Each time I check in they say there is no outage. Then they say, oh, there may be something let me verify. Meanwhile most of my neighbors on Fiber are up / down over and over since Thursday - down in HBCA!
@mrz1125 @FrontierCorp Are you in OC Mike? Mine has been down since Thursday as well. I live in HB.
@FrontierCorp Veronica, good luck. Frontier has not made this an easy thing for you to help resolve.
@FrontierCorp I somewhat doubt that the issue is a cut fiber (once fiber is cut it does not pass any light / data) and rather guess it's likely some back end equipment malfunctioning. What's really a bummer is there's no information on what's going on and when it will be fixed.
@FrontierCorp So, here we are at Monday and my internet continues to go up and down and if I call or work with Giga (even though by now I have confirmed multiple times there's an outage) I'm asked to reboot my equipment and waste time. Why is this not in notes on my account your people see?
@FrontierCorp Each time, same drill, "we have no outage" it must be your system. Meanwhile my system comes online for short moments (like this morning) then goes out again. I was able to make a VoIP call, but then 5 minutes later, no Internet. If I call, same message "no outage" reboot ...
@FrontierCorp On the 5th Giga chat I thought they were sending a new router. I was supposed to get a confirmation email - never came. Called in on the phone as I don't feel Giga works very well to escalate and figure out what's really going on. The fact that I rebooted too many times...
@FrontierCorp Evidently you have to be a premium member to use messages here. I'm not.
@FrontierCorp Hi Veronica, if you check my posts they have the details, but I'll try again here. Thursday morning my internet went down. I spent nearly 4 hours trying to resolve. I was disconnected from the "giga" chat 4 times (because internet was going in and out). FIX IT PLEASE!!!
It's Sunday night. Seems like maybe all the Frontier Fiber techs are watching football instead of fixing the regional outage that affecting HB and LB CA. #FrontierFiber #Verizon what the heck? Crazy thing is if I call for an update I get the same answer, "we have no outage."
Sunday status update #frontierfiber still down... Been going up and down since first reported. Poor communication internally. Each call to support I'm told it's only me, while I know and have multiple confirmations from inside frontier and out that it's a regional outage. Ugh!
