The average annual salary for a government employee is $127,000 per year. The average annual salary for a private sector employee is $66,000 per year. The private sector employee that makes 1/2 the money pays the salary of the government employee. Think about that…

3 THINGS CANADA should do right now: 1. Immediately approve and invest in an Energy East pipeline to carry Canadian oil and gas through Canada to an eastern seaport. 2. Expedite expansion of the Trans Mountain Pipeline to the BC coast.

@LKrauss1 Agreed…despite inflation being caused by global conditions coming out of the pandemic which are affecting most countries in the World…the Dems will be blamed by many US voters and Trump will be the beneficiary

A plea to the Royal Bank of Canada, which sponsors two PGA Tour events: the RBC Heritage, a signature event, and the RBC Canadian Open, which is not. They should be reversed. The Heritage is an awesome tournament with a rich history of its own. It's also the week after the Masters, and it's played in a chill-ass seaside town, and everyone's just trying to decompress a little bit after Augusta. One would think the eventual goal with this signature-events model is for the PGA Tour to expand beyond the United States and lean into tournaments that have a soul and an identity. That, after all, is their differentiator. There's an existing tournament just north of the border that already has a committed sponsor that's willing to pay for an elevated event, a world-class host city in Toronto (assuming it'd be played in that region), tremendous fan support, access to incredible courses and a true heart and soul. I know there are scheduling issues with Canada's short golf season and an already-packed summer schedule. But man, it just seems like such a logical decision. These are the exact type of events the tour should lean into. That, and much more in this week’s Monday Rap: barstoolsports.com/blog/3515801/m…

After a British gunman killed 16 people in 1987, the country banned semiautomatic weapons like those he had used. It did the same with most handguns after a 1996 school shooting. It now has one of the lowest gun-related death rates in the developed world. They have mental health issues there too. In Australia, a 1996 massacre prompted mandatory gun buybacks The rate of mass shootings went from once every 18 months to only one in the 26 years since. They have mental health issues there too. Canada also tightened gun laws after a 1989 mass shooting. So did Germany in 2002, New Zealand in 2019 and Norway in 2021. They have mental health issues in all of those places too. There have been 389 school shootings in the United States since Columbine. Since Sandy Hook — mass shootings here have nearly tripled. 103 people have been killed and 281 people injured from school shootings since Parkland. And there have been well over 100 incidents of gunfire at K-12 schools since the Uvalde school shooting. This. Is. An. American. Problem. Yes, we have mental health issues here at home, but the difference… is the guns. There are more civilian owned guns in this country than there are civilians. It’s the guns.

No better human than Harry James. The community at large feels your loss…but we are all a little better off for the example he set on how to treat people.

Today we lost one of the most incredible people I have ever met. He was kind, considerate, loving, and giving! Some people on social media called him the legend. I got to call him dad. #HarryJames PEI proud, he considers everyone he has ever met his freind. RIP DAD WE LOVED YOU
