It triages my email every morning, manages my home server, and controls my @home_assistant - basically a home digital personal assistant. All from @Discord, from anywhere. Zero extra hardware. The phone was already in a drawer. This has been super fun to set up and play with!

Been playing around with @claudeai Claude Code more and more. I had a spare refurb Pixel 10 Pro sitting in a drawer... Turns out it has the same specs as the typical @openclaw mini PC. So I made it one! Say hello to Pixie Agent.

@derek_j_morris Nothing and "without an ID" continues to be half true as I said before... If you're saying it's fraud you should just say it so we can stop pretending this is evidence based?

@derek_j_morris What is gained by restricting it in that way?

@derek_j_morris It seems like a pointless energy barrier. siepr.stanford.edu/news/vote-mail… 🤷‍♂️ Actually sounds like it doesn't really matter to turnout, but at least the point they make here was that there's no good reason to restrict it...

@seanjsanders @AnxiousHolly I was actually impressed by that too. But don't worry, JerryRig is never more than a few moments away from doing something irreparable and stupid like snapping it in half on purpose or holding a lighter to the screen...

@derek_j_morris You need ID to register and they signature match to your registration. There's a high trust society joke in here somewhere...

Yes this is from 4chan. The point remains extremely valid. The conspiracy theorists are massive hypocrites and almost always political partisans.

Scope the "E" badge at the beginning. Temp badge. Either a new hire, or someone on vacation who is checking out a Google office that isn't their home office. If a new hire, one thing that is 100% true of Google is that onboarding wastes the time of everyone involved.

This is true. Love the people I work with, but the ones still primary driving on iPhones and Apple Watch should understand they are part of a cultural problem, especially the senior folks.

A former Apple engineer discusses Google product culture: > My director wore an Apple Watch and had an iPhone ... my VP too. Nobody was expected to eat the dog food and so few did. This was crazy to me coming from Apple ....

My basic political philosophy is that monopolies are bad but the decline of Bell Labs set back human civilization by several decades. I'm still not sure how to reconcile this.

@seanjsanders Spoken like a true person over 30, you don't even have to have kids yourself but you're old enough to know people that do! I do really need to see an extended Sean-taunting-Erick sequence about this though.
