What I’ve learned in 10 years of writing books: -Routine is everything -Write what you can’t NOT write -Always takes longer than you think -No such thing as writer’s block (just insufficient research) -Live an interesting life -Bestseller lists don’t matter
@RyanHoliday My philosophy: If you are swimming toward an iceberg, it’s because you must, not because it makes sense, or it adds up to some idea of success. A sensible person might take off in the other direction. Took me decades to realize. I can’t NOT do it, as you say. So swim, everybody!

@RyanHoliday #5 above is so key. An interesting life consistently pays big dividends. ...but it often involves being terrified. So, if you're terrified you're doing it right. 👍🏼
