South Asia War Monitor @SAWarMonitor

@eversmann_ Yes. Fault of powers that be who want to always keep judges in their control for political engineering. This is the quality of judiciary we get then.

@MeherJazibAli If we buy it for 400, tomorrow it will be 380.

@Alyhassan959 Nothing in Islam that makes evolution against Islamic principles. But mullahs don’t like it.

@geronimouh @tropiicalhoe Thanks for clarifying. Looking at track record of this administration one could be forgiven for thinking she was thrown under a punjab police bus.

@MahatmaaGanji But we never investigate or study. We only want encounters.

@MahatmaaGanji If you watched mindhunter on netflix, they did investigations on serial killer mindset. Those findings were used to eradicate the crime using better mental health awareness. Similar investigation here could also reveal class based divide as motive of dehumanisation.

@HannibalBarx This is exactly what they tried in 2018 and while it did kill his popularity, it was only till the time he was ruling. The moment he was kicked out he was again the most popular person in the country.

@ShujaaAzmi Having said that, the mullah regime of Iran doesn’t make it any easier for Pakistan. Maybe if they were removed Pakistanis would stand a chance.

@ShujaaAzmi Saudi can give us money. Which is why our politicians, bureaucracy and army feel connected more to them. But if Pakistanis were more self reliant minded who wanted to stand on their own feet they would find more potential in trade with Iran than in handouts of Saudi.

@DThucydides @HamzaCh27 @AngryPeddler will tell us Iranian President is a traitor.

@mrhostyle General Rani’s description sounds like the role Bushra bibi was playing in Imran Khan’s govt. No wonder he had a similar ending.

@kaxev Muridke was the end of TLP so give an example that makes people sympathise not be relieved.

@DThucydides @SenatorSameer Curious if you have been to Tokyo. Karachi isn’t as dense as Tokyo, which has bigger population than Karachi.

@PolitlcsGlobal @FT UK should deport all Pakistanis who made asylum claims. 100% of asylum claims are false

@TahirImran So your argument isn’t against 787 but Boeing. I’ve watched all of them. And while Boeing has indeed fallen from its standards, 787 remains one of the top jets apart from some issues at the start This is only showing your ignorance. Please stick to politics related conspiracies.

@TahirImran You can’t call dreamliner a problematic plane and also blame others of having zero knowledge of aviation in the same tweet.

A disabled Australian woman accidentally pocket-dialed a JEWISH nutritionist. Nobody spoke, just noise from her bag. The nutritionist interpreted it as gunfire targeting her for being Jewish. Her complaint landed the woman in court on a charge carrying up to five years in jail

PTI's basic position is that the final decision about provinces will be taken by Imran Khan Sahib. He must be involved in the dialogue. The position that you are taking is remarkably opportunistic apart from being pointless as far as the future well-being of Karachi is concerned. Karachi's problems will not be resolved by placing it under federal control. The disaster that Islamabad has become is before us all. The people of Karachi indeed voted for PTI in 2024 giving us a sweep of 21 seats in the National Assembly and over 40 seats in the Sindh Assembly. These seats were denied to the people of Karachi. The same operation to rig electoral outcomes was applied to local government elections in order to hand over Karachi to the clutches of corruption and misgovernance by those who now wish to separate Karachi from the rest of Sindh. Who is to guarantee that Karachi as federal territory will not be handed over to some preferred mafia? As long as elections have no sanctity no system of government will amount to anything other than coercive fraud. PTI has always supported empowered local governments and will continue to do so. Karachi must have a clean, empowered and competent government elected by the people of Karachi. The plan to make new provinces by repealing Article 239(4) of the Constitution attacks the very foundation of Pakistani federalism and will leave Pakistan a less cohesive state. Article 239(4) was adopted in 1973 with the consent of all the federating units. It gives the provincial assembly of each province the power to approve a change in the composition of the province with a 2/3 majority. This provision is the cornerstone of the Federal Social Contract that lies at the heart of the Constitution. How can PTI become party to an abolition of Article 239(4) by a parliament that is a product of an entirely rigged election? PTI opposed as a matter of principle the right of this parliament to enact the 26th and 27th amendments. How can PTI now become party to an amendment by the same parliament that erodes the federal structure of the state? Leaving all else aside, it is clear that a severing of Karachi from the rest of Sindh would lead to massive disquiet that would sow poison across the length and breadth of Sindh. This poison would not leave Karachi untouched. The last thing the residents of Karachi need is being surrounded by an insurgency. Short-sighted fools who learn nothing from history are never in short supply. The only wise and effective way forward for Karachi and all of Pakistan is to insist on electoral integrity so that the will of the people comes to matter. The people voted away the MQM and the PPP from Karachi in 2024. They were fraudulently reimposed by the would-be saviours of Karachi. Please stop playing with emotions, principles and practicality. One expects a better from you.
