San Francisco OutPost 🌁 @SFOutPost

Everyone is always rooting for you. Your parents want you to be a great son. Wife wants you to be a great husband. Your boss wants you to be a slam dunk hire. Every first date you’ve ever been on they’ve been rooting for you to get laid. Every time you started to tell a joke people hoped it would have a hilarious punch line. Your proximity to anyone is a reflection of themself, meaning the deck is never stacked against you, and your failures are completely your own

What’s the harshest truth every young man must eventually learn?

What's happening right now on Earth is we have reached AI and are now converging as a species. We are pouring energy into a common entity / brain. This is how all things go. There is divergence and then convergence, and the convergence breeds something new

@PardonMyTake @PardonMyMeme Welpl, @Philly_Mays Has been vindicated. This scandal is too good. Need to get back on and listen to the pod. I always thought she was such a dirt bag for the 2 sodas jokes.

Hemp (Cannabis Sativa l.) may be the plant that started humans down the road toward civilization, with its cultivation prompting the invention of agriculture itself. All archaeologists agree that cannabis was among the first crops purposely cultivated by human beings more than 6,000 years ago, and perhaps more than 12,000 years ago, and that hemp may well be the first “crop.” Hemp/cannabis grows more rapidly than any other plant in temperate and cooler climates, and grows well in the tropics too. Hemp/cannabis produces more energy, oil, protein, fiber and medicine than any other plant. Restoring industrial hemp to its rightful place in agriculture today will return much control to our farmers, and away from the multinational corporations that dominate our political process and destroy our environment. These capital-intensive, non-sustainable, and environmentally destructive industries have usurped our economic resources and clear-cut huge tracts of the world’s forests, given us massive oil spills, wars, toxic waste, massive worldwide pollution, global warming and the destruction of entire ecosystems. Prohibiting the cultivation of this ancient plant, the most productive source of fiber, oil and protein on our planet, is evil. In its place we have industries that give us processes and products that have led to unprecedented ecological crisis and worldwide destruction of the biological heritage that we should bequeath to our children, grandchildren and future generations. Restore hemp! crrh.org/restore/

@hubermanlab And this is coming from someone who doesn't even doubt your guest's claim. Substances obviously affect our bodies, bodies that didn't evolve for daily cannabis use. I don't doubt the claim. It's the packaging.

@hubermanlab "Why is canna so divisive?" Decades of propaganda and lies, doc. Millions harmed by the justice system. NO known overdoses. It should be blatantly obvious. Respectfully, the "division" you speak of isn't coming from the users.

@hubermanlab Context matters on this subject. Thousands are rotting in prison for using this plant or being associated with it. The studies associated with it have largely been a sham--they don't test what's actually on the market. And the THC increase myth is just that...a myth.

@hubermanlab Because you pump out headline grabbing content that is anti-cannabis. You disapprove of cannabis and it's abundantly clear. You don't acknowledge how vastly complex and diverse this subject is. Cannabis cannot be boiled down to a single thing.

impeachment is coming

Damn, would love to see more Euro style living in SF.

San Francisco at present (left), and San Francisco imagined as a greener walking city (right). Fantastic. My hope is that cars will slowly go away, the combustion engine will cease to exist, and our cities and towns will be given permission to blend back into nature. Photos

Most drugs borrow happiness from tomorrow. You feel great tonight, and you pay for it in the morning. Cannabis has always felt different to me. Relief from pain, stress, anxiety, without the hangover or chemical debt the next day. Everyone is different, but on a reward-to-risk basis, cannabis has been one of the best trades I’ve experienced.

They are trying to make cannabis the bad guy again so they can kick out cannabis content from X, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook! Why? Because if you smoke weed you are harder to control and to sheep around. That’s the reason it’s their kryptonite. They can’t control people who smoke and mess with their endocannabinoid system. They can’t mess with the community aspect and the medicinal aspects it can offer. It’s why they tried to breed it in a direction and limit others to produce. It’s why only poor areas have crappy cannabis laws and rich areas have positive ones. It’s all control. They want to control you and dictate how you feel, think, and act. They cannot calculate when people like you exist. They need constants, not variables. Fight! We are gonna have to come together! Spread the truth! They are trying to stigmatize you and make you feel ashamed for being you and finding your own path to health and wellness. Fuck anyone trying to force their way on you. Don’t let them. Don’t fall for this bullshit. Who is they? The ones funding and pushing influencers to come out with this anti weed propaganda.

Factual.

You’re more likely to serve prison time for illegally growing weed for your own consumption than you are for being a pedo or cannibal on the Epstein files. That should piss everyone off—even the anti-weed shills.

We find out that the government is aiding and abetting child trafficking (and possibly cannibalism), stealing money, not paying taxes, etc. But my entire feed has MAGA influencers talking about how weed is bad. The coordinated efforts are getting far too obvious these days.

This is not how serious clinicians talk. Potency is not dose. Population risk is not individual inevitability. Association is not causation. None of those distinctions survive this tweet. There is no credible evidence that contemporary cannabis use is “literally causing brain damage that looks like schizophrenia” at the population level. Psychosis risk is concentrated, not universal. It is elevated in specific subgroups, at high doses, with frequent use, and in people with personal or family vulnerability. Presenting that as an epidemic affecting most users is a gross distortion of the literature. “25% THC” is not a biologic exposure. What matters is amount consumed, frequency, route, tolerance, and context. Conflating THC percentage with inevitable harm is pharmacology by clown vibes. (in a white coat! 🤦 ) What’s most uncomfortable here is not the concern about heavy use. That concern is legitimate. It’s the confidence with which sweeping claims are made that the evidence simply does not support. This isn’t caution. It’s alarmism dressed up as medicine. #PharmacologyByHeadline #CitationWithoutUnderstanding #EvidenceErosion #ThisIsNotHowMedicineWorks

Weed is driving an epidemic of psychosis and mania. Most weed prior to the 2000s was <5% potency. Now everything is 25%+ with some concentrates 90+. Most people still delude themselves into thinking their smoking the sub 5% weed from the 70s.... The current stuff is literally

@PLegalization I can't go back to booze. I feel like I've been poisoned every time. Cannabis has a remarkable ability to allocate one's molecules and help me thrive.

It’s time for America to admit it has a booze problem. How many American died from alcohol last year? 178,000. But nah, let’s whine about a plant that’s never killed a single person in human history.

@harmonica75050 @hubermanlab @esaagar The "scientists" are unwilling to assess the reality and acknowledge the healthy stoners out there.

@hubermanlab God forbid a man spark up some tobacco, hit a joint, drink a negroni and look at beaut girls without all the optimization losers and conservative grifters losing their shit

@PatMcAfeeShow @DanielLurie Downtown is still terrible
