SQL On AWS question: We moved an on-prem test VM to an AWS EC2 (L&S) and immediately our RESTORE DATABASE times went through the roof. DB restores that took 45-60 minutes now taking 13-14 hours. Can anyone explain that to me and how to get it back to normal? #sqlHelp #AWS

@SQLJax #sqlhelp there are a TON of variables when provisioning AWS EC2 instances, including max throughput being one of the top ones. Max throughput is determined by instance type but also hinges on the type of volumes (disks) you provision. It's tricky.
