@mcknight_writes let me add that in no way am i disparaging japanese food or food culture. i absolutely love some of it, and the things i don’t like i think are a result of my unfamiliarity with some tastes and textures. but far be it for me to yuck someone else’s yum.

@AlanPlotzker wow, that’s gross. twitter seems to be attracting the worst kinds of prejudice, conspiracy theories, anti-science grifting, and just generally no nothing bullying lately. can’t imagine why…

@mcknight_writes oh, you missed out! we almost never eat them in the u.s., but i found out a few years ago when one of my roommates was cooking shrimp, that the heads are delicious. we were all really surprised, like full-on cultural revelation. i understand though, they look horrifying.

@Popehat @thehowie @AVindman @Twitter @elonmusk i don’t want to be forced out by bullies, but i have a post that’s gotten 1 troll post for every 3 likes. none of those troll posts showed in notifications. i think e. m. is letting the trolls run rampant and is going to monetize tools to stop them.

@Green_Footballs it’s really getting bad. i realized i was being targeted for having a ukraine emoji, so i added two more. what’s really weird is that lots of troll posts don’t seem to show in notifications.

@GeorgeMonbiot i hope you do better than me. the second time has put me in bed for most of a year. there’s no such thing as acquired immunity with covid, it just chips away at your immune system with each infection.
