So it turns out that Ukraine's issues with Starlink were caused by Ukraine. Starlink terminals disconnected at speeds above 160 KPH, as determined by the Starlink terminals internal GPS. To get around this, Ukraine hacked the Starlink terminals to think they were stationary regardless of speed. SpaceX figured this out, and updated the system software to detect excessive speed by seeing how rapidly the terminal switched from on satellite to another. This broke Ukraine's hack, and Starlink would no longer work at high speeds. Ukraine was using Starlink in a way that violated the terms of service. Starlink figured it out and stopped it.

What happened to F1 drivers? I grew up with Formula 1 in the 70s and 80s. Smelled of fuel, oil, burnt rubber and danger. Drivers were drivers. They climbed into brutal, unpredictable machines and raced. Today, F1 increasingly feels like a billion-dollar reality show with a motor race squeezed somewhere into the middle with armies of PR advisers, carefully scripted statements, constant outrage over every word, gesture or opinion that failed to fit the approved mood of the day. Once, men like Lauda, Hunt, Fittipaldi, Regazzoni, Villeneuve, Senna, Mansell, they fought with cars pushed near their maximum capacity (and safety), circuit that were fast and each other. Now drivers are all a bunch of prima donna, woke influencers, permanently offended by something. They spend half their time fighting track limits, social media and the risk of saying something that upsets somebody online. Formula 1 used to feel like a sport for gladiators. Today, it's a reality show for Netflix.
