A coastal exercise for coastal flood defence was held in Comacchio - Ferrara The coastal exercise was held in Comacchio on 1 April, starting at 8.30 a.m., with simulation activities in a school and in some areas of Comacchio exposed to flood risk.

Arpae trained its local stakeholders in Comacchio last May 11. The purpose of the training was to raise awareness of the risks of floods and storm surges in the regional area and give information on risk and emergency management tools

The firefighter brigades testing the newly purchased equipment to mitigate pollution at sea in Slano, - Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

Almost 140 thousand euros worth of equipment to fight and mitigate pollution at sea, purchased through the EU project STREAM, and for several fire brigades in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The equipment was handed over to the Fire brigades during a ceremony in Slano.

In an analysis produced by @CNRsocial_ researchers with the Univ. fo Salento and the Univ. of Zagreb, Venice is used as a paradigm of coastal flooding. They investigate the rimportance of different drivers of coastal flooding and their temporal changes: rdcu.be/cKLO1

STREAM partners in the Dubrovnik-neretva county met to prepare the operation exercise taking place next October 29. Partners discussed the different methods to collect data for the flooding early warning system and limit the damage made by flooding. See: urly.it/3g05b

On September 24th, the Polytechnic University of Marche organized an infoday in Ancona, presenting also to the public the educational games produced thanks to the STREAM project!

On 7 and 8 October, the @iuav will host a two-day workshop on the governance of flood risk on the Adriatic coasts.The workshop is meant to set the basis for the elaboration of guidelines for risk reduction and management of flood emergencies in the Adriatic coast.

How much reliable flood forecasting systhems are important in the Adriatic sea and in Venice in particular? The issue is debated in a paper just published with contributions from some STREAM project partners: nhess.copernicus.org/articles/21/26… @ItalyCroatia @CNRsocial_ @ArpaER

The Stream project goes to school! The staff of the Civil Proception of @RegioneMarcheIT 🤓📣presented the management system in case of meteorological and hydrogeological risks to the students of the Institute "A.Einstein-A.Nebbia" in Loreto (Italy).

A sea condition forecast system developed within the project will be used for determining dynamic maps of flooding of the urban surface. Maps will be used to simulate past tidal events as well as to produce operating forecast flooding scenarios.
